Team Apex participated in a charity golf tournament to support Multiple Sclerosis Research. The beautiful Mozingo Lake Golf Course in Maryville, Missouri hosted the event. The tournament supports the Kathy Van de Ven Research GrantĀ for MS Research at the Mayo Clinic through the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Mid-America Chapter.

sponsorsThe tournament was held on 26 September 2014. As a Corporate sponsor Apex fielded a team of professional hackers selected specifically for their ability to have fun and enjoy a beautiful day on the golf course. After arriving early and warming up on the range, the team wowed the other participants with their ability to make solid contact with the ball and the ground on almost every attempt.

The tournament was a scramble format where the best shot from the group was selected and played. After 18 holes, a bottle of sunscreen, a sleeve or two of golf balls, a chip in from a sand trap and a few visits to the beverages cart the course record was safe. Scores were counted and individual prizes were presented. Team Apex was 12 strokes off the winning score and finished in the middle of the pack. Not all was lost as one of the team members picked up a prize for the longest dive on one of the holes. The real prize is now framed and hangs in the Apex Conference Room! Thanks Kathy.

Great tournament for a great cause! We will be back next year-
