Mr. James “JD” Dowdy has over 30 years’ experience in preparedness training, planning, operations analysis, and feedback on operational systems. He has worked in many positions focused on strategy and technology improvements for the U.S. Army . His experience in research & developments includes planning, preparing and executing experiments, while pursuing innovative processes, procedures, and/or potential technological solutions within the military command and control domain. Mr. Dowdy is well-versed and experienced in analyzing, identifying, and developing command and control capability requirements and information technology solutions for the U.S. Army in a joint, net-centric environment. Mr. Dowdy holds a Masters in Public Administration and has completed the Army Knowledge Certification Course. He is a Managing Partner for Apex Analytics Group.
Mr. Jeffrey From has nearly 30 years’ experience in a wide variety of U.S. Army assignments, that include broad technology and acquisition-related management activities, totaling over 16 years. Mr. From has served in a number of U.S. Army acquisition programs and combat development positions, including a key exchange position with the Canadian Army. In that role, Mr. From lead a number of key projects related to software development and modification and improvements to all Canadian Army indirect fire systems. During his U.S. Army career and subsequent work as a business owner, he has served in leadership positions in a number of command and control-related develop programs. Most recently, Mr. From has authored a number of papers and holds a Masters Degree in Management/Systems Acquisition Management from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is a Managing Partner for Apex Analytics Group.
Mr. Lee Vinson joined Apex as a partner in 2012. He has over 30 years’ experience as a leader, charged with solving complex problems related to training, logistics, operations, and the integration of capabilities within the material development process. He has extensive Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) expertise related to capturing, defining and documenting U.S. Army common operating environment, command post computing environment and command and control (mission command) operational requirements. Mr. Vinson holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration as well as certificates related to capabilities documentation. He is a Managing Partner for Apex Analytics Group.
